KEMPELE, FINLAND -- A subsidiary of Finnish EMS company PKC Group Oyj has begun proceedings to close a factory and lay off 45 workers.

PKC Wiring Systems Oy has issued a proposal to commence negotiations that may lead to the termination of the 45 employees.

In a press release, president and CEO Harri Su tari said that in light of lower demand, the company plans to cease its wiring harness production and reduce support functions at its Kempele site.
