Eleven enhancements have been made to the ProVision boundary scan tool, including the addition of all instructions handling (including private instructions) within JTAG functional test. Netlist type autodetect has been added, which automatically recognizes netlist formats as belonging to certain tool vendors. WGL test vector format (as used for IC testing) is now supported through a ProVision plug-in. Can now test (IEEE) 1149 dot 6 to dot 1 connections. Other enhancements include support for FTDI USB to serial port peripheral devices (embedded on target board); HTML reporting for TTR and BSD in AEX sequences; the ability to export and re-import AEX sequences; support for double-latching bus logic; boundary scan register length check; support for multiple ID codes in BSDL, and 64-bit drivers for DataBlaster hardware.

IllumiMate 2.0 mm wire-to-board connector is for low-power products such as thin-screen LED TVs and other compact devices. Is available as a four-circuit system. Dual positive lock provides secure latching and a window to confirm full insertion. Features include a dual-contact terminal design for secure electrical contact, wide solder tabs for PCB retention and polarizing ribs between circuits in the header that facilitate mating and protect contacts. Halogen-free.

Desktop Bonders are tabletop hot-bar reflow soldering systems capable of reflow soldering, heat seal bonding and/or ACF bonding, hot bar bonding, and heat staking applications. Use pneumatic bonding heads with quick connect blocks and thermo-plane thermodes. Thermode design offers ultra-fast heating and cooling cycles. Forced air-cooling after the heating process speeds the bonding process. Maintain co-planarity and withstand deformation. Eliminate voltage drop as current flows from front-to-back instead of left-to-right. Include left-right and front-rear slides, as well as rotary tables. Slide modules operate manually or pneumatically and have an option for three-stop positions. Additional options include optical alignment, Kapton feeder, water cooling, interposer modules, and customized product jigs. Desktop units are powered by Uniflow3.

Cobar 95-DRX+ flux is based on a water/solvent combination and offers wicking characteristics similar to a solvent-based system.

Cobar 396-DRX+ is a VOC-free flux that is RoHS-compliant. Is halide- and halogen-free, and is based on a water carrying system that provides advantages in transportation and storage conditions and eliminates fire risks. Is odorless.

Are both classified as ORL-0. Provide topside preheat temperatures up to 150°C. Can be used in high thermal mass and heavy multilayer products that require extended and higher soldering conditions. Activation systems eliminate bridging and provide excellent through-hole filling for Pb-free and SnPb applications.

Stronger versions (Cobar 396-DRX-M+ and Cobar 95-DRX-M+) are available.

UniCam FX 9.1 and Test Expert 9.1 manage and control delivery of product data to the shop floor, and prepare and optimize product data for manufacturing and test processes. Are said to be easy-to-use, for small batch, high-mix environments that require rapid development and support of many programs for printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing equipment. Feature faster, easier, offline programming capabilities, merge computer-aided design (CAD) and bill-of-materials (BoM) data with support for more than 65 CAD data formats; process designs by simulating the factory in order to select and validate best manufacturing strategies; and configure lines, operations and define workflows for machine programming and optimization, such that they are achieving an optimized and balanced surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole technology (THT) and manual assembly line setup. New machine interfaces said to offer seamless connectivity and support for Siplace, Assembléon, Mydata, Fuji and other equipment. Enhancements to the testability and fixture design rules in Test Expert ensure appropriate test coverage is available, and can provide valuable feedback to design prior to the PCB being manufactured.
