The RV-2 is a compact, inline, single-lane PWB inspection machine. Includes Clear Vision Capturing System; can pick up a clear image for 0.4mm × 0.2mm size chips or solder fillets. Can detect defects in high-density mounting board. Calibration technology adjusts distortion of XY axis and lens, lighting individual differences. Reportedly, stable inspection results with no machine differences can be captured when running the same inspection program on several lines. TOPSS enables central controls of OK/NG judgment, quality traceability, and inspection results’ statistical analysis. Standard i-3D function with luminance difference stereo system enables clear capturing of 3D pictures for inspecting solder volumes, height and area for 3D SPI.

Plato Brass Tip Cleaner removes burned flux and oxidation from tips to improve wetting, heat-throughput, and tip life. Reportedly cleans without water. Brass micro-coils scrape the solder without scratching the tip’s surface. Tight coil structure keeps solder retained inside pad. Works with Weller, Hakko, Pace, and Metcal soldering stations.
