PEM fasteners for thin stainless steel sheets provide solutions for attachment applications where corrosion resistance and thinner, lighter designs must be satisfied. Typically specified for assemblies in challenging environments, including the medical and foodservice industries.

Self-clinching fasteners in the product line made from 400 series stainless steel include PFC4 panel fasteners, which incorporate captive screws to reduce loose parts; SO4 through-hole threaded standoffs (available unthreaded for spacing multi-panel assemblies); BSO4 blind threaded standoffs designed for stacking or spacing; and FH4 flush-head studs.

The product line also includes SP PEM 300 nuts, whose corrosion resistance is similar to 300 series stainless steel. All are machined from specially hardened stainless steels and can be installed permanently in stainless sheets as thin as .030”/0.8 mm.

Non-clinch fasteners for use in stainless steel include PFS SNAP-IN panel fasteners -- which can be installed without tools -- and PFF HYBRID floating panel fasteners featuring a flare-mount design to enable “floating” in mounting holes.
