HARRISBURG, NC – The printed circuit board and PCB assembly industry is expected to reach $76.1 billion in 2025, with an average growth rate of 2.6%, according to MarketingInsightsReports.

North America is the largest production and consumption region in the world, while China is the fastest growing region, the research firm says.

The majority of industry revenue is derived from sales to downstream wireless industries and consumer electronic manufacturing industries, according to MarketingInsightsReports. Growing household income in China has led to increasing demand for electronic products, boosting demand for PCB and PCBA.

The global PCB and PCBA industry is gradually shifting to Asia, especially China, the firm adds. Taiwanese and European PCB and PCBA companies, benefiting from currency devaluation, saw a surge in profit margins, while Japanese peers didn’t gain from yen depreciation, as more than half of their production bases are located in foreign countries, but still performed better than their South Korean counterparts, according to a new report.
