AUSTIN, TX -- Flextronics will lay off 45 workers at sites around Texas after AT&T decided to in-source its support centers.

The electronics manufacturing services company is also reducing its head count in Austin by seven, and also cutting jobs in Houston, Dallas, Irving and San Antonio, according to required filings with the Texas Workforce Commission.

“AT&T notified us of its decision to move its device support centers in Texas in house,” Flextronics vice president of communications Renee Brotherton told the Austin Business Journal.
