TAIPEIHon Hai, parent company of Foxconn, posted revenue of $7.35 billion for September, up 3.4% sequentially, and down 12.5% from a record high in the same month of 2010.

Strong sales can be attributed to iPhone shipments, say published reports, particularly the new 4S model, contributing five to six million units.

The contract manufacturer also reported third-quarter revenue of $22.03 billion, up 5% sequentially.

For the first nine months of 2011, revenue was $61.3 billion, up 16.3% year-over-year.

Foxconn posted revenue growth of 78% to $435.6 million for September, partially as a result of shipments of portable game consoles to Nintendo, say reports.

Foxconn’s third-quarter revenue was $819.4 million, up 14% sequentially.
