TISZAUIVAROS, HUNGARY -- Jabil plans a major expansion to its operations here as it ramps production of high-speed mobile data transmission networks, according to published reports.

The electronics manufacturing services provider will hire about 670 workers, bringing the total employed in the country to around 9,700, according to Reuters.

Hungary is subsidizing the expansion to the tune of $5.4 million. Hungarian officials believe its investment will be returned via higher tax payments next year, Reuters reported, quoting Economy Ministry State Secretary Zsolt Becsey.
