Foxconn’s Vietnam Plant On Again

VINH PHUC, VIETNAM – Foxconn International Holdings’ on-again, off-again cellphone plant in Vietnam is on again, according to local media reports.
The cellphone manufacturing arm of electronics ODM Hon Hai, FIH will begin construction on the plant in Vietnam’s Vinh Phuc province in the second quarter of this year, according to local media.
The $200 million factory will be located north of Hanoi and reportedly will produce some 89 million cellphones and tens of millions of accompanying parts each year, say reports.
