TAMPA, FL -- The US Department of Defense has awarded a multi-year, $200 million contract to Sypris Electronics to build RASKL electronic key fill devices.

Delivery and quantity terms have not been determined.

The device is used for loading keying data into secure communication equipment. It is a designed for tactical environments, and holds up to 40 modern electronic keys, the company said.

The deal is a tremendous program for Sypris to land. The company current has sales of about $425 million a year.
