STOCKHOLM – Note Ab reported third-quarter sales dropped 33% year-over-year to SEK 267.4 million ($38.3 million).
 
The firm reported an operating loss of SEK 61.4 million ($8.8 million), compared to income of SEK 14.2 million in the third quarter of 2008.
 
Year-to-date sales were down 30% to SEK 908.6 million ($130.3 million), compared to the same January to September period last year. To date, the operating loss is SEK 88.1 million ($12.6 million), compared to a gain of SEK 44.1 million last year.
 
During the quarter, Knut Pogost was appointed CEO and president. 
 
Note is one of Europe’s largest EMS providers.
