SAN DIEGO -- A just-launched consulting firm has been formed to help PCB assemblers with automated x-ray inspection implementations.

Koczera Consulting is a closely-held consultancy whose founder and president, Barb Koczera, is a former senior AXI applications engineer at Agilent.

“I’ve seen so much evidence that the proper use of X-ray inspection and test are paramount to the success of today’s printed circuit board manufacturing quality. It’s rewarding to continue to use my expertise to develop and deliver programs for the [Agilent] 5DX and x6000,” Koczera said in a press release.

Dann Gustavson, PCBA operations manager at a Silicon Valley based medical OEM said, “Any of the developers I’ve worked with know how to use the 5DX development tools to create a basic program. Barb Koczera has the production expertise to go above and beyond, tune and optimize, and to use 5DX to uncover subtle defects.”
