Hanwha Semitech Americas Supports Regal Technology Partners with New SMT Line Installation
CYPRESS, CALIFORNIA – June 2026 – Hanwha Semitech Americas recently supported Regal Technology Partners with the installation of a new SMT line featuring the SM481 Plus, SM485 Plus, and a 10-zone reflow oven.
Based in Santa Ana, California, Regal Technology Partners provides engineering and manufacturing services for aerospace and defense programs, supporting applications across air, land, sea, and space platforms. The company focuses on high-mix, mission-critical electronics manufacturing, including circuit card assemblies, cable and harness systems, and complex box builds within ITAR-controlled and AS9100-certified environments.
The new Hanwha equipment adds both speed and flexibility to Regal’s production floor. "In this latest investment, Regal is now operating with 100% Hanwha equipment to stay industry-leading and to produce highly reliable CCAs, all while being implemented and live within four days,” said Scott Lantiegne, Operations, VP at Regal Technology Partners, Inc.

The SM481 Plus is designed for high-speed chip placement, giving the line the throughput needed for large volumes of standard SMT components while maintaining placement accuracy. Paired alongside it, the SM485 Plus expands the line’s capability to handle a wider range of component types and board configurations, including larger and odd-shaped parts commonly found in aerospace and defense assemblies.
The addition of the 10-zone reflow oven provides tighter thermal control and more stable soldering profiles across different products and build requirements. Together, the systems give Regal more control over throughput, process consistency, and overall line efficiency.
Hanwha Semitech Americas and PMR Representatives supported the installation and startup, working alongside the Regal team to get the line up and running.
