Atlanta - ECIA’s 2025 Executive Conference Committee is pleased to announce that Dean Kamen, Founder DEKA Research and Development, will speak at the 2025 Executive Conference. The session is titled ‘Engineering Tomorrow: Emerging Technologies and the Power of Coopertition.’ In this engaging session on emerging technologies, Dean Kamen will discuss groundbreaking advancements in healthcare, mobility, and regenerative manufacturing. He will also highlight the importance of convening the next generation of innovators to work together on solving the world’s grand challenges.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Amped UP, the Power of Tomorrow.” The 2025 Executive Conference takes place October 19-21, 2025, at a NEW LOCATION, the Westin O’Hare Hotel.

Dean Kamen is an inventor, an entrepreneur, and a tireless advocate for science and technology. He is the founder of DEKA Research & Development Corporation, FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), FIRST Global, and the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) | BioFabUSA.

As president of DEKA, he has developed transformational innovations including medication delivery and mobility systems that restore health and quality of life. Examples of technologies developed by DEKA include the twiist™ Automated Insulin Delivery System, the Remunity® pump for Remodulin delivery, the HemoCare at-home dialysis machine, the iBOT™ Mobility System, a DARPA-funded robotic arm, and a new and improved Stirling engine.

ECIA Members know Dean Kamen as a tireless advocate for FIRST®, an organization dedicated to motivating the next generation to understand, use and enjoy science and technology – and to apply it for societal contribution. He expanded this initiative to create FIRST Global, which unites teams from over 190 countries in a different country each year.
