The Swedish technology company Waystream manufactures products for broadband networks. The agreement means that production will take place at NOTE's plant in Lund.

Waystream already manufactures products in China but sees many advantages in manufacturing the new version of its high-speed routers at NOTE's plant in Lund. The production of smaller series is expected to start during the third quarter and then expand to batch production in the fourth quarter.

“NOTE is developing strongly, and we continue to win the trust of many customers. For some time now, we have seen a significantly increased interest in manufacturing in Sweden and in our immediate area. Waystream is an exciting company that we look forward to developing a good collaboration with”, says Johannes Lind-Widestam, CEO and President.

“The agreement with NOTE AB is part of our risk minimization strategy. By having manufacturing in several places in the world of our products, we become less vulnerable to disruptions in the logistics system. For the manufacture of our new switches, we therefore sought an appropriate partner with the competitiveness and competence needed. Proximity to our main markets was also an important requirement for environmental reasons. We found that NOTE Lund AB could accommodate this and that is why we chose them.”, says Susanne Torrbacka, Interim CEO at Waystream.
