ASSODIGITALE, ITALY– Alcatel-Lucent will sell its manufacturing activities in Geel, Belgium, to TBP Electronics BV. Terms include the transfer of all customer contracts, 319 employees and manufacturing assets. The deal is expected to close next quarter. No financial terms were announced.

The Geel plant management will take an equity stake in the new company, which will be named TBP Electronics Belgium.

Formerly a manufacturing plant for Alcatel, the Geel operations have performed electronics manufacturing services for years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent will commit certain orders for a minimum of three years and shall consider TBP for its NPI work.
