New leadership to leverage wide-ranging experience to drive global growth initiatives.

Universal Instruments announces the appointment of three new regional managers to its global sales team. David Cooke has joined Universal Instruments as General Manager, Western Americas, responsible for sales in North America West, South America and Mexico. Ulyses Wolfskill has been promoted to the position of Mexico Country Manager, reporting to Cooke. In the role of General Manager, Southeast Asia, Universal welcomes Patrick Chan. In their new roles, both Chan and Cooke will report to Brad Bennett, Vice President of Global Customer Operations.

Cooke has more than 30 years of diverse experience in engineering, sales and product management.  Most recently, he was the Senior Director of Sales and Global Account Manager for FormFactor, Incorporated. Specifically, Cooke’s background includes advanced technology solution sales, strategic account management, marketing, and business development, providing a sound foundation to manage the sales channels in the Western Americas and facilitate expansion in the region.

Wolfskill joined Universal in 2013 as a Regional Sales Manager.  He has over 18 years of experience in industrial engineering, project management and sales. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading targeted sales and market share growth efforts in Mexico and will have direct managerial responsibility for sales, applications and support/office administration.

Chan comes to Universal with more than 10 years’ experience in various electronics market segments. He began his career on the product development teams of Intel and Agilent, giving him a formidable technical basis and well-established international exposure. He has also been successful in both sales and service management roles in for leading companies in the industrial power and semiconductor industries. In his previous positions in Asia, Chan effectively managed multiple reports across different cultures, achieving consistently high sales figures and year-over-year performance.
