Summit LXi large board rework supports assemblies up to 24 x 36" (610 x 914mm) and incorporates a large area 8.0 kW bottom heater for fast board conditioning. Options include noncontact solder scavenging, local bottom-site heater, and a wide variety of tooling for components ranging from large connectors to micro passives. Is built on the LX platform with updated thermal process controls. Control system eliminates effects of facility variations and supports more precise calibration, permitting process parameters to be readily shared between systems in multiple locations. Closed-loop control for heater gas flow combined with enhanced thermocouple feedback and a new strategy for heater power management accurately matches each system, for storing centralized profiles on a host server to be accessed and used anywhere. SierraMate V9 software provides a simplified icon-based GUI. Enhanced profiling tools ease profiling and allow profiles to be tweaked without being re-learned. Standard network interface permits centralized storage of process files with easy access for multiple systems. MES interface can be customized to meet specific requirements.
