Scanfil and Liquid Instruments have signed a manufacturing outsourcing agreement for Scanfil’s Melbourne plant in Australia. This agreement supports Liquid Instruments’ strategy to onshore production of its flagship Moku platform, strengthening domestic supply chains and bringing manufacturing closer to its research and development hub.

“We’re continuing to expand our manufacturing footprint in Australia,” says Daniel Shaddock, CEO of Liquid Instruments. “Onshoring production through this partnership allows us to scale more efficiently, while deepening our investment in Australia’s technology ecosystem. Scanfil’s expertise and strong local presence make them the ideal partner for this next phase of growth.”

The collaboration will leverage Scanfil's and its subsidiary, SRXGlobal's, expertise in Medtech & Life Science. Liquid Instruments will benefit from supply chain management, scalable manufacturing, global delivery capabilities, and aftermarket services — all in Victoria, Australia.

"Liquid Instruments has developed a unique product with an interesting and complex technology that is a perfect fit for the services provided by SRXGlobal in Australia. We at Scanfil and SRXGlobal are thrilled and excited that Liquid Instruments has chosen SRXGlobal as their preferred manufacturing partner for the exciting journey ahead, and we look forward to a strong and successful partnership", states Christian Kesten, VP of Scanfil APAC.

Tampa, Florida – TAGARNO, a renowned Danish manufacturer of high-quality digital microscopes, is preparing for its next wave of growth by aligning its leadership to reflect its strategic direction. As the company continues evolving from a microscope manufacturer into a full-solution partner for quality control and process optimization, TAGARNO has promoted Anders Ravnskjaer Pedersen to Director of R&D and Product Management.

This shift isn’t about new responsibilities, it’s about acknowledging the advanced role TAGARNO’s research and development function now plays in building smarter, more integrated customer experiences.

“In recent years, we’ve moved far beyond selling microscopes. We’re creating intelligent platforms that customers can tailor to their exact applications—and we’re supporting them with complete, ready-to-deploy solutions that enhance the overall user experience,” said CEO Soeren Schultz. “Anders has been a driving force in that transformation, and his role reflects the innovative, forward-looking future we’re building.”

The promotion comes at a pivotal time for TAGARNO. The launch of the TAGARNO T50, the company’s first 4K/60 FPS microscope, marked not only a major advancement in imaging clarity and speed but the beginning of a new platform strategy. With the T50, TAGARNO is developing software-based applications, including future AI integrations, that will allow customers to perform specific inspections and quality control tasks directly on the microscope—without additional hardware or software.

Alongside technology development, TAGARNO is shifting toward a solution-based model. Instead of leaving customers to piece together microscopes and third-party accessories for complex applications, TAGARNO is taking ownership of the complete user experience, building out complete, validated system configurations tailored to industry-specific needs.

This evolution requires deep product knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and extensive application insight—all qualities that Anders brings to the R&D team.

TAGARNO’s global vision is also taking shape with strategic partnerships and a strengthened commercial team. Earlier this year, Paul Ashton joined as Director of Sales (EMEA and APAC), bringing over 18 years of experience from ZEISS. His addition reflects TAGARNO’s growing international footprint and renewed focus on long-term partnerships.

“As we move into more strategic collaborations and solution-driven offerings, aligning leadership across departments is essential,” added Schultz. “With Anders and Paul working side by side along with Jake Kurth, Vice President of Technical Sales in the US, our customers can expect even more integrated innovation—designed not just to meet their needs, but to help them stay ahead.”
