VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / June 8, 2021 / EnviroLeach Technologies Inc. (the "Company "or "EnviroLeach"), (CSE:ETI)(OTCQB: EVLLF)(FSE:7N2) is pleased to report continued research and development of EnviroLeach's patented gold recovery technologies has resulted in improved efficiencies and significantly reduced reagent costs.

Ongoing research to optimize EnviroLeach's proprietary lixiviant and patented gold recovery process has produced several breakthroughs resulting in higher gold recoveries, reduced leach times, and lower operating costs.

The leach kinetics of EnviroLeach's lixiviant, already equal to or superior to those of cyanide in most circumstances, have been enhanced through the optimization of the secondary reagent. This advancement dramatically shortens the optimal leach time. The following example illustrates a 33% reduction in leach time from 24 hours to less than 16 hours.

In addition, the introduction of an alternate secondary reagent has resulted in a significant reduction in the amount of primary reagent required and a corresponding cost savings. The following chart (see Chart 2) shows enhanced gold recoveries using the alternate secondary reagent combined with primary reagent amounts reduced to 1/3 of original levels.

Using the optimized alternate secondary reagent combined with lower amounts of primary reagent also reduces the residual gold in tails when compared to the original secondary reagent and original amount of primary reagent (see Chart 3). These technical advancements enhance EnviroLeach's patented technology resulting in a novel gold recovery solution with high recoveries, fast leach kinetics and very attractive economics when compared to conventional gold recovery processes.

Ish Grewal, M.A.Sc., P.Eng. and Executive Vice President of EnviroLeach, states: "Our technology innovation team continues to deliver industry leading solutions for gold recovery. These improvements make our solution more economically compelling and certainly more sustainable. We are very proud of our accomplishments to date, and we believe these recent improvements will accelerate the adoption of EnviroLeach's technologies in the primary and secondary gold recovery sectors. Our technologies deliver a balanced combination of economics and environmental sustainability which the gold sector is striving to achieve.".

Research to optimize EnviroLeach's proprietary lixiviant and patented gold recovery process was conducted at the Company's laboratory located in Burnaby, British Columbia.

About EnviroLeach Technologies Inc.

EnviroLeach extracts precious and other valuable metals from recycled printed circuit boards, ores, and mineral concentrates in a safe, environmentally friendly, and sustainable manner. The Company's primary target industries are the electronic waste (E-waste) management sector and the mining sector. Our patented chemistries and technology applications offer a cost-effective solution that replaces cyanide and reduces the reliance on smelters to recover precious metals.

EnviroLeach's patented leach process is similar to conventional leaching methods for the recovery of gold, but it eliminates the use of toxic chemical compounds such as cyanide or acid-based solutions. EnviroLeach's treatment process targets industry participants seeking a domestic processing solution with lower logistics and third-party costs, and a reduced environmental impact.

The EnviroLeach technology solution creates very strong differentiation in the marketplace and provides unique positioning. The awarded and pending patents combined with the processing knowledge required for optimization create significant barriers for competitors to overcome. The EnviroLeach process is cost-competitive, safe, sustainable, and holds potential for multiple revenue streams. Further information is available on the EnviroLeach website: https://EnviroLeach.com

Rochester Electronics’ wide variety of critical components are available through the Digi-Key Marketplace, supporting needs across industries from medical, industrial, aerospace, defense, transportation and more.

The COVID-19 pandemic and many other supply chain factors have placed significant strains on the electronic components supply chain, with shortages rampant throughout the industry. Between Digi-Key's high-inventory buying model and Rochester's massive in-stock inventory, as well as their licensed manufacturing capabilities for end-of-life (EOL) and legacy products, the partnership offers ease in procurement for many needs that cannot be fulfilled elsewhere during this tumultuous time.

"We launched the Digi-Key Marketplace last summer to give engineers and innovators access to more product lines than ever before, through a one-stop shopping experience that serves the entire ecosystem of technology innovation," said Jim Ricciardelli, EVP of digital business for Digi-Key. "With Rochester Electronics joining the Marketplace, we are able to offer more in-stock devices and semiconductors than ever before, supplying our global engineering community with the parts that they need most. The Digi-Key and Rochester partnership is great for our customers as we are both privately owned companies that are customer value driven first and foremost. We have seen an immediate positive impact for our customers."

The partnership also guarantees authentic components, at a time when component counterfeit is on the rise due to shortages and high demand. Rochester boasts partnerships with more than 70 authorized manufacturers, and Digi-Key is an authorized distributor for more than 1,800 industry-leading suppliers. Customers can rest assured that the products they order are authentic and come to Digi-Key and Rochester directly from the manufacturer.

"It has been a very rewarding experience working with the Digi-Key Marketplace team," said Christa Brooks, channel sales manager for Rochester Electronics. "We see a high level of customer service from every department we work with, and the digital Marketplace portal is user-friendly as well. I'm very proud of the Digi-Key and Rochester partnership in the Marketplace."

While Digi-Key anticipates the overall component shortages in the industry will likely last into 2022, the Rochester Electronics partnership is helping continuity of supply for Digi-Key customers.

We’ve just added a new Europlacer screen printer and ALeader 3D solder paste inspection (SPI) combination to our SMT hall – the ALeader 3D SPI is the first to be installed in the UK.

The new units fit alongside our five Europlacer iineo+ pick and place machines, giving us even greater PCB flexibility.

They also enhance our objective of delivering absolute quality to our customers across all market sectors, including those in quality-critical environments such as medical electronics.

Real-time closed-loop feedback

Apart from being the first UK installation, the ALeader 3D SPI system is also the first to provide real-time closed-loop feedback directly to the new Europlacer printer.

It allows the surface mount printing process to be automatically corrected before solder paste volumes move out of tolerance – it also enables our production engineers to analyse trends and validate ultra-fine-pitch applications before component placement.

“This phase of our surface mount investment programme is aimed at pushing quality and yields to reduce and ultimately eliminate rework,” explains General Manager & VP Derek Williams.

“That’s why we selected printing and inspection systems which support us intelligently in enhancing the assembly process, rather than simply capturing the occasional screen printing fault. In addition to practical process refinement, the systems will give us another competitive edge, providing tangible evidence to customers of our commitment to quality control.”

Customer, not process, driven

“Everything we do, including investments in new equipment, is driven by what it will deliver to our customers. We tailor our business operations to suit theirs,” Derek said.

“The PCBs we assemble include many sophisticated and high-value boards which regularly feature BGAs and complex ultra-fine-pitch components. One example is a 12-layer, A3 sized flex-rigid assembly.

“The component technology we encounter on customers’ boards is driving the investments we need to make. It’s a key part of our strategy to keep ahead of customer requirements – and to give them the confidence we have the resources and expertise to build their boards to exceptionally high standards.”

New printer can take 610 x 515 mm boards

The new Europlacer SP710-AVi printer adds an extra dimension to the manufacturing capability: the ability to handle large boards up to 610 x 515 mm.

“It’s a welcome addition to our resource pool,” he added. “We recently declined to quote one of our customers due to anticipated difficulties coping with a large board. I have since been able to go back to them, explain we have invested in a new screen printer and confirm we can now handle that subassembly.”
