BOSTON, MA – DelCam Capital has acquired Gaston Electronics, a UL 508A Industrial Control Panel shop and vertically integrated electronics manufacturer based in Mount Holly, North Carolina. The deal strengthens DelCam’s position in UL 508A panel design, electronics manufacturing, prefabrication and modular fire and building systems by integrating Gaston into Space Age Electronics, its fire and life safety platform.
The acquisition expands DelCam’s geographic reach while addressing skilled labor shortages through scalable prefabrication and streamlined building solutions.
“By combining Gaston’s expertise in high-reliability electronics with Space Age’s leadership in engineered fire detection systems, we’re building a platform that simplifies installation and enables prefabrication at scale,” said Steve Trotta, managing partner at DelCam Capital.
Scott Davis, CEO of Gaston, emphasized that DelCam’s values and strategic oversight make it the right partner for the company’s next growth phase. The integrated operations will be overseen by Matt Grady, CEO of Space Age Electronics.
DelCam plans to continue pursuing complementary acquisitions across electronics manufacturing, building infrastructure and engineered components, with a focus on founder- and family-owned businesses.
