HELSINKI – Scanfil reported modest year-over-year growth in the second quarter, reinforcing its full-year guidance while pursuing expansion through acquisitions in the US and Europe.

Revenue for the second quarter rose 3.4% year-over-year to $219.8 million. Comparable EBITA held nearly flat at $15.4 million, down slightly from $15.5 million the year prior. Operating profit declined 4.6% year-over-year to $14.4 million.

For the first half of the year, revenue totaled $429.4 million, a marginal increase from $428.9 million during the same period last year. Net profit for the six-month period fell 9% to $20.5 million, down from $22.5 million from a year ago.

Scanfil reaffirmed its full-year outlook, projecting revenue between $849 million and $1 billion,

CEO Christophe Sut cited momentum in the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions, and emphasized that acquisitions of ADCO Circuits in the US and MB Elettronica in Italy would strengthen Scanfil’s presence in high-growth segments such as aerospace and defense.
