PEACHTREE CITY, GA – CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Magazine today announced Green Circuits as its EMS Company of the Year for 2023.

The distinction is bestowed annually on EMS companies that have demonstrated profitability and sustained excellence among their peers over a period of years.

San Jose, CA-based Green Circuits was founded in 2006 and has grown organically and through acquisition. Its quickturn model leans heavily on an intense commitment to Lean manufacturing, as the company can provide same-day turns on printed circuit assemblies and averages nearly eight inventory turns per year.

The company’s revenues have grown even as it has reduced headcount, and employee turnover has dropped to under 8% from 40% in four years.

“Green Circuits has demonstrated that a focus on efficiency can result in profitable growth even in the highest-cost markets,” said Mike Buetow, president of the Printed Circuit Engineering Association, publisher of CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY. “Chief executive Michael Hinshaw and his team have developed the right formula of end-market strategy and internal operational efficiency, resulting in a business that has grown revenues while reducing staffing by 25%.

“We are pleased to announce Green Circuits as our 14th EMS Company of the Year.”

Previous recipients of the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY EMS Company of the Year are AsteelFlash, Creation Technologies, Fabrinet, Firstronic, Jabil, Key Tronic EMS, Kimball Electronics, Lacroix Electronics, Lightspeed Technologies, Plexus, Rocket EMS, STI Electronics and Venture Corp.
