ORADEA, ROMANIA – Celestica will lay off some 450 people at its Romanian subsidiary, according to reports.

Operations in Oradea must be brought in line with revenues, the firm says. Celestica previously expanded the production capacity and office area of its factory here.

Dismissed staff will receive compensatory salaries and will be provided employment at other locations, if possible.

Celestica Romania posted revenues of €300 million and losses of €15 million in 2018.
