MENOMONEE FALLS, WI – Eastek Automated Circuit Technologies plans to eliminate 36 jobs at its PCB assembly and electromechanical plant here, according to reports.

The layoffs are expected to begin by Mar. 31 and will include four machine operators and 16 assemblers.

“Due to ongoing economic challenges facing EACT, the company has determined it must make some operational changes that will result in reduced workflow at the Menomonee Falls facility,” EACT site leader Kevin Grob said.

EACT is a division Eastek International, which has 1,200 employees globally, including facilities in Stockholm, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Dongguan.
