iNEMI to Hold PCB Lifecycle Assessment Webinar Next Month
HERNDON, VA – iNEMI will hold a webinar next month to discuss a lifecycle assessment tool for greenhouse gas emissions of PCBs.
The iNEMI Eco-Impact Estimator currently enables accurate lifecycle assessment estimates for two key greenhouse gas emission component categories: bare printed wiring boards and large integrated circuits.
It mitigates the obstacles of performing an LCA: complexity, skill required, expense and time.
INEMI is organizing a Phase 3 of the Eco-Impact Estimator project to further leverage and expand its capabilities. The Oct. 17 webinar will cover the project in detail.
Phase 3 will enhance the tool/framework for more general use, with the following proposed topics: update and expand on the scope of ICT components covered and investigate inclusion of other environmental aspects such as energy and water usage.
