PHATHUMTANI, THAILAND – Electronics manufacturing services firm SVI Public Co. reported today that its manufacturing operations in the Bangkadi Industrial Park will remain offline due to greater-than-anticipated water damage.

The EMS company last week was forced to temporarily suspend all operations as result of Bangkok’s worst flooding in more than 50 years.

The flood exceeded the company’s flood preparations, the firm says.

SVI has begun to set up operations and will resume production at the Chaeng Wattana facility, with customer deliveries expected to begin by the end of November.
