TOKYO -- Japan-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment said 90-day average bookings were ¥119,148 million, up 4.4% over revised April levels and 12.2% from last year.

 

The group posted ¥119.1 billion in orders in May on a three-month average basis, according to the SEAJ.

The book-to-bill ratio for the month was 0.94, which means that ¥94 worth of new orders was received for every ¥100 of product billed for the month.

The three-month average worldwide billings was ¥126.3 billion, up 7.2% over final April levels and 34% over May 2010.

The SEAJ book-to-bill is a ratio of three-month moving average bookings to three-month moving average
billings for the Japanese semiconductor equipment industry.
