TAIPEIHon Hai (Foxconn), the world’s biggest electronics contract manufacturer, reported March sales rose 52.6% year-over-year to NT$157 million ($4.97 million).

For the quarter ended March 31, Foxconn’s sales rose 49.2% year-over-year to NT$414.8 million. Sales were down 6.3% sequentially.

Sales were boosted by higher demand for LCD TVs, tablet and notebook computers, and printers.

One analyst raised his revenue forecast to NT$2.53 trillion this year and NT$2.46 trillion next year on a consolidated basis, compared with NT$1.96 trillion for last year, but lowered his profits outlook to NT$89.8 billion, from a previous estimate of NT$91.1 billion.

The market consensus operating margin for Foxconn is 4.5% this year, up 60 basis points.
