OLATHE, KS -- Elecsys, which provides EMS and other OEM products, reported fiscal third-quarter sales fell 6% year-over-year to $4.74 million.

For the period ended Jan. 31, sales were down 18% sequentially on slower orders from existing customers and booking delays from new customers. Net income was $64,000, down from $213,000 a year ago.

The company's EMS group had sales of $2.76 million, up 1% from a year ago. 

Elecsys said EMS sales should be slightly higher in the coming quarters on demand from several new customers and the continued ramp of several projects..

Overall gross margin was 32% of sales.
