SMYRNA, GA – UP Media Group today announced a trio of electronics industry experts will moderate must-see chats during the third annual VIRTUAL PCB, the industry’s only virtual trade show and conference for the PCB design, fabrication and assembly markets. The two-day worldwide event takes place March 2-4, 2010.

On March 2 at 12 noon EST, Randall Sherman, president and CEO of New Venture Research Corp., will moderate “Could Printed Electronics Replace Traditional Electronics?” New Ventures Research just released The Worldwide Printed Electronics Market, a study of the technology, what it replaces and the opportunities it presents.

On March 2 at 5 pm EST, Werner Engelmaier, known industry-wide as “Mr. Reliability,” will moderate “Solderability and Reliability.” Engelmaier, founder of Engelmaier Associates, has authored nearly 200 technical publications, and has coauthored most of the electronics industry’s reliability and performance specifications. He received the Distinguished Technical Staff Award from Bell Telephone Laboratories, and is an IMAPS Fellow.

On March 3 at 2 pm EST, Bob Landman will moderate “The Hard Truths of Tin Whiskers.” Landman, chief technical officer of H&L Instruments LLC and an IEEE Life Senior Member, is a reliability expert and member of several industry task groups on tin whisker causes and mitigation.

Each chat lasts 30 minutes and is open to all VIRTUAL PCB registrants.

A fully interactive, Web-based event, VIRTUAL PCB incorporates all the critical features of a live event while allowing PCB design, fabrication and assembly equipment and materials buyers and sellers to interact online. VIRTUAL PCB is supported by a proven software platform (provided by InXpo), and will be accessible on-demand for two months beyond the two-day live event.

Features of the upcoming virtual event will include custom exhibit booths, live attendee-attendee and attendee-exhibitor communication, live and on-demand equipment demonstrations, real-time technical presentations, open “chats” moderated by industry experts, and much more.

“The addition of these three experts as chat moderators reinforces VIRTUAL PCB as a truly interactive forum for top-level technical and business discussions,” said UP Media Group President Pete Waddell.
