ENDICOTT, NY -- Endicott Interconnect Technologies has acquired the assets of eV Products Inc., a maker of x-ray and gamma-ray detectors. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal includes the research and development, sales and manufacturing operations, IP and 65 employees of the Saxonburg, PA-based eV, a subsidiary of the publicly traded II-VI Inc. 

eV, which builds for the industrial, medical, homeland security and laboratory markets, also makes cadmium zinc telluride radiation detection products, including components and subassemblies. 

Noting eV's engineered materials and components, Jay McNamara, president and CEO of EI, said. "This critical technology will be integrated into EI’s portfolio to further extend our electronics packaging strategy of delivering highly customized and technology driven solutions to customers in the medical, security and other commercial markets.”

This new business will be named eV Microelectronics, a division of Endicott Interconnect Technologies. Its sales, manufacturing and research functions will remain in Saxonbury.
