TORONTO -- Celestica Inc. reported first-quarter revenue of $1.47 billion, down 20% from a year ago on weaker end-market demand.

For the period ended March 31, GAAP net earnings were down 35% to $19.2 million, and gross net earnings were down 17% to $29.3 million.

The figures were within the EMS company's revised Jan. 28, guidance.

Celestica guided for second-quarter revenue of $1.3 billion to $1.45 billion.
