PI Rolls Out A-351 Gantry Motion System
A-351 gantry motion system is driven by linear motors and guided by mechanical linear bearings.
Linear encoders increase accuracy and reduce startup time. Integrated ironless linear motors eliminate cogging. Includes ACS-based motion controller with EtherCat connectivity. For applications requiring motorized vertical axis, several z-stage options are available, with either screw-driven platforms or linear motors and pneumatic counterbalance. Other customizations, such as mounting platforms for vision systems and dispensers are offered. Features include standard x-y travel ranges from 300 x 300mm to 500 x 1000mm; absolute encoders, 1nm resolution; linear motors or ball screws; dynamic error mapping with ACS motion controller; up to 2m/sec. on cross axis; cable carrier option, e-chain; water cooling option.
