MANKATO, MNWinland Electronics Inc., designer and manufacturer of custom electronic control products and systems, announced CEO Lorin Krueger’s resignation, effective Jan. 2, at which time he will aid the company’s board of director’s in identifying his successor.

" … After 31 years at Winland, it seems like the right time," said Krueger. " … Between now and the end of the year, I will focus on driving the current initiatives as we begin a comprehensive CEO search."

Winland also announced third-quarter revenue of $9.9 million, an increase of 0.5% year-over-year.
 
Gross profit was $1.85 million, up almost 5% compared to the third quarter last year.
 
Year-to-date, net sales were to $27.3 million, a decrease of 5.1% year-over-year.

Gross profit was $3.9 million, down 22% compared to the first nine months of 2006.
 
Winland plants to open an office in the Minneapolis area in the fourth quarter.
