ORLANDO – The date will change, but SMTA International will return to Orlando next year, the SMTA announced today.

The SMTAI Conference and Show will move to Disney’s Coronado Springs Hotel, in Orlando, the trade group said. The 2008 show will break from its traditional fall timeframe, moving to Aug. 17-21. The show will include an expanded exhibit floor.

A call for papers will be issued in October, with the deadline for abstracts of 300 words on Dec. 14. Proposals will also be solicited from individuals interested in teaching educational courses related to surface mount technology, advanced packaging, and electronics manufacturing. Course lengths may be half- or full-day.

More information will be available next month at www.smta.org/smtai.
