Irvine, CA – Leveraging its broad innovation portfolio and in keeping with the company’s sustainability priorities, Henkel today announced the development and commercial availability of LOCTITE® HHD 3544F, the industry’s first bio-based polyurethane reactive (PUR) hot melt designed for consumer electronics assembly.  This is the company’s inaugural consumer electronics-specific, bio-based PUR hot melt adhesive; approximately two-thirds of its content is sourced from renewable, plant-based feedstocks.

This 32-week intensive training course will begin this fall at Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) and offered through Brevard Schools Adult Education. Through collaboration with local business, the EDC and FloridaMakes identified the skills and training needed to advance careers and fill the talent pipeline for this expanding industry, which represents over 500 local companies.

Master Bond EP30-4Med is a two part epoxy system with a fast set up time that cures at room temperature, or even more rapidly with a bit of heat. This low viscosity system meets the requirements of ISO 10993-5 testing and is therefore considered to be non-cytotoxic. It can be used for bonding, sealing, and small encapsulation applications. It can also be utilized as a coating, especially when optical clarity is needed.
