HONG KONG – ASMPT said it is considering divesting its surface mount technology (SMT) solutions business after receiving acquisition interest, as the company looks to focus more heavily on end-market businesses and expand investment in areas where it holds stronger competitive advantages.
THAILAND – Cal-Comp Electronics Public Company Limited reported full-year 2025 revenue of $3.9 billion, a 5.6% decrease from $4.1 billion in 2024. Sales totaled $3.8 billion, down 6.0% from $4.1 billion a year earlier.
The EIPC Winter Conference in February was revealing for several reasons, not the least of which was that the view among the 125 primarily European electronics engineers and executives in attendance was their industry and governments had failed them by not acting more swiftly and vigorously to staunch the offshoring tide.
