CRAWLEY, WEST SUSSEX, UK -- In the first acquisition of the new year, Chemigraphic has purchased fellow UK-based CRS Electronics for an undisclosed amount.

Hertfordshire-based CRS is a contract electronics assembler for the marine, rail transport and LED lighting industries.

Chemigraphic was founded in 1972. In December 2010, it was purchased by its current ownership group.

CRS was also founded in the early 1970s. Founder Colin Souter reportedly will remain with Chemigraphic after the deal closes.
