EMPALME, SONORA, MEXICO -- Arc-Tronics, a US-based contract manufacturer, will open a facility here and expects to hire up to 125 workers for the site.

The Elk Grove Village, IL-based electronics manufacturing services company signed a two-year deal to lease 17,226 sq. ft. of space at a local industrial park.

Empalme is about 300 miles south of Tuscon, AZ, and the US border. Michael Goeringer, president of Arc-Tronics, said, "The opening of this facility is a key strategic initiative necessary to support our customers' requirements in North America."

Arc-Tronics was founded in 1972 and designs and manufactures of printed circuit boards, electromechanical and cable and harness assemblies.
