SINGAPORE -- ASM Pacific Technology reported second quarter revenue at its SMT Solutions unit were $197.5 million, down 10.3% from the first quarter and down 15.1% from a year ago.

Overall group revenue for the period ended Jun. 30 was $460.7 million, down 1.2% sequentially and 31.4% from last year.

First half group revenue was $927.3 million, down 24.4% from last year's first half and down 26.8% from the second half. SMT Solutions' revenue decreased 3% from the first-half 2018 to $417.7 million, and fell 29.7% from the second half. New bookings decreased 28.3% year-over-year to $1.06 billion and were down 2.8% from the second half.

ASM is parent of Siplace and DEK, among other major electronics assembly equipment makers.
