ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Jabil reported fiscal second quarter net revenue of $6.1 billion, up 14.4% year-over-year.

Net income for the quarter ended Feb. 28 was $67.6 million, an increase of 80.2% compared to the same period in 2018. Operating income was $154 million, up 18.9%.

“I’m extremely pleased with our outstanding second quarter results, which further demonstrate the success of our diversification strategy,” said CEO Mark Mondello. “Quite simply, our approach is working, both in terms of our strategy and operational excellence. This is well-illustrated by our performance in the first half of the fiscal year.”

During the quarter, the EMS sector had year-over-year revenue growth of 33%.

For the six-month period ended Feb. 28, Jabil had net revenue of $12.6 billion, up 15.5% year-over-year. Net income was $191.7 million, an increase of 88.9%. Operating income for the six months was $370.7 million, an increase of 34.7% year-over-year.

Jabil expects fiscal third quarter net revenue of $5.7 billion to $6.3 billion.
