ATLANTA, GA – More than half the presentations at this year’s PCB West conference will be two hours or more in duration, UP Media Group Inc. said today.

PCB West, the largest conference and exhibition for printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly in the Silicon Valley, will feature 65 presentations, of which 37 will be at least two hours long. A total of nine will be half-day workshops (3.5 hours) and five will be full-day tutorials (seven hours).

“For 2018, we have redoubled efforts to concentrate on training the current and next-generation of printed circuit designers and engineers,” said Mike Buetow, conference chairman.  “Our all-day program features tutorials on design for manufacture and assembly, PCB stackup design and materials selection, and assembly defect analysis and process troubleshooting, among others. We are looking forward to welcoming back Susy Webb, Gary Ferrari and the ‘Assembly Brothers’ team of Phil Zarrow and Jim Hall in September.”

The event includes a three-day technical conference and one-day exhibition, to be held at the Santa Clara (CA) Convention Center. Now in its 27th year, this year’s show will feature 110 booths showcasing the leading companies in the PCB industry, including the top CAD and CAM vendors and top names in printed circuit fabrication and electronics assembly.
