SANTA CLARA, CA -- Whizz Systems has begun installation at its new contract electronics assembly site in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia, the company told CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY.

The PCB fabricator and EMS company has started putting its first line there and might be able to start assembly work in few months, vice president of strategic marketing Affif Siddique told CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY.

As reported by CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY in January, the firm has committed $4.6 million to its expansion in Malaysia.

The Santa Clara-based firm has finished its move into the former CTS site, a 75,000 sq. ft. building acquired last year and completed a major upgrade. "I believe we now have the best state-of-the-art facility with engineering design, assembly and end-to-end product development all under one roof locally in Santa Clara," Siddique said.
