The first time I picked up the book and looked at the title I thought, "No!"

After further investigating the chapters in detail, I found that the book does provide information in an understandable manner with a slab of humor, as the title indicates. Simple analogies help readers understand some of the complexities of electronics—from the start, voltage and current on to future technologies.

I was surprised that a book like this covered different printed circuit board (PCB) types like multichip modules, 3-D substrates, chip on board and area array components. I cannot see engineers buying the book, but colleges and universities may benefit by using it as an informative introductory textbook.
