NEUILLY-PLAISANCE, FRANCE – Asteelflash's board of directors has appointed Nicolas Denis as its new chief executive officer, effective Dec. 1.

Nicolas Denis is succeeding company founder Gilles Benhamou, who will retire by the end of the year.

Asteelflash, which was acquired by USI at the end of 2020, hopes that "as CEO, [Denis] will now lead the entire company to new heights of success and innovation. Under his leadership, we can expect a renewed focus on customer satisfaction, a commitment to excellence and a drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations," the company said in a release.

Denis began his career in 1995 at Sagem, a company where he managed the Brazilian subsidiary until 1999. After stints at Boston Consulting Group and Kompass, he returned to Sagem in 2002 for thirteen years. In November 2020, he joined Asteelflash as general manager of the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa) until January 2023, when he took over the role of general manager France and vice-president of the Europe region.

"As our esteemed founder Gilles Benhamou retires, I would like to express my gratitude to him for having founded and built this great company, and in particular for having brought together a talented and passionate team that I have the chance to lead from today," Denis said. "Together with our parent company Universal Scientific Industrial Co, we are well prepared to serve the diverse needs of our customers from our global footprint, and we will continue our constant and proactive efforts to be competitive and excellent in terms of quality, agility and of innovation."
