Compal to Sell TV Plant in Poland to Vestel

TAIPEI -- Compal Electronics will sell its LCD TV assembly plant in Poland to Vestel Ticaret.
The deal should close before the end of the fourth quarter, the company said.
Compal acquired the plant in Kobierzyce, Poland, from Toshiba in 2013.
Vestel is Turkey's largest consumer electronics OEM. It is also the largest manufacturer of TVs in Europe, and the third-largest in the world.
