Flextronics Layoffs to Hit NC

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Flextronics plans to lay off 83 workers in North Carolina in response to changing business demands.
The decision was revealed in a required company filing with state authorities, in which the contract printed circuit board assembler cited "ongoing integration activities and the strategic realignment of capabilities to meet current business requirements." The notice did not indicate which sites would be affected, but said layoffs would occur at multiple locations.
Flextronics has operations in Creedmore, Charlotte and Youngsville, NC.
