BANNOCKBURN, IL — IPC has released a Swedish language version of J-STD-001E, Krav för Lödda Elektriska och Elektroniska Kretskort, the industry-consensus standard for soldering processes and materials.

IPC J-STD-001E contains new, expanded, updated and consolidated soldering criteria. Some of the significant changes are new or expanded criteria for hole-fill for Classes 1 and 2, SMT termination (flattened post/nail-head), area array (noncollapsible balls and column grid array), and staking and adhesive for bonding through-hole and SMT components to PCBs. Also, criteria for thermal management and lead placement and soldering for each terminal type have been consolidated.

New and updated, full-color illustrations are included.
