AUSTIN, TX — August — Optimal Electronics Corporation, a global provider of smart factory software solutions for the electronics assembly industry, today announced that Mile Ostojic has joined its Industry 4.0 team as the company’s new expert for robotic applications. Ostojic has more than 30 years of R&D and application experience in control systems, robotics and automation.

Ranko Vujosevic, Founder and CEO at Optimal Electronics commented, “I have known Mile for 30 years. We started out in the industry together and we are going to work together again on some exciting Industry 4.0 applications. Ostojic has worked in industry and government research labs in Yugoslavia, Japan, Canada and Germany. His previous position was with General Electric, Germany, working on R&D in mechatronic systems for automated manufacturing from composite materials. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Theory of Mechanisms and Machines, and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automatic Control.
